Dear Friends and Collegues,

my first year as President of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) is coming to an end, and now we can take a moment, to look at what we’ve done together.

The DDS continues to grow, driven by the commitment of the members of the Board, the Past Presidents, the Commissions, the Secretariat, the General Manager and the Marketing, but above all by the passion of our Active Members, all over the world. I would like to thank all of you, for the constant dedication, passion and energy that you put into your work every day, and for our Society.

“The DDS was born to bring innovation to the dental world.”

The State of the Art event of Florence 2024 has been a great success, with over 600 delegates from 60 nations, with very high quality lectures and an innovative format. All those lectures are available for free, to our Active Members, in our e-learning platform. During 2024, the DDS Embassies have organized successful events worldwide, from Switzerland to Romania, from Hungary to India, Belgium. Italy, France, and the cooperation with leading and well-established scientific Societies like FDI and SEPES took our delegations and speakers in Turkey and Spain. Meanwhile, the flagship journal of the DDS, The Journal of Dentistry, has reached the highest impact factor ever (4.8, with a citescore of 7.3) becoming the number 7 scientific journal in the dental world; the DDS MAG has become extremely popular and successfull too, and we have launched the new Digital Dentistry Journal, in partnership with Elsevier.

“The Journal of Dentistry, has reached the highest impact factor ever (4.8, with a citescore of 7.3) becoming the number 7 scientific journal in the dental world.”

Stay tuned, because more has to come in 2025.

We’ll organize a fantastic DDS Global Meeting, as a joint meeting with the IADMFR, in the beautiful city of Venice, from 16 to 18 October 2025, and DDS will celebrate the event in style, cause the Society will turn 10 there. Ten years of passion, innovation, amazing meetings, lectures, publications, science & clinics. Ten years of friendship. Please save the dates, and do miss the opportunity to come to Venice, for an unforgettable cultural and social experience.

Merry Christmas, enjoy this time with your loved ones, and be ready to start again with even more energy and desire to improve your knowledge and skills, to make our dreams and those of our patients come true.
