Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As we welcome 2026, I am honoured and privileged to be addressing you for the first time as President of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS).
Firstly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our immediate past president, whose exceptional leadership over the past two years has been invaluable. Thanks to his vision, dedication and tireless efforts, the DDS has achieved remarkable milestones. The unforgettable meetings in Venice and Florence set new standards for scientific excellence and community spirit, and the success of our two flagship journals, the Digital Dentistry Journal and the Digital Dentistry section of the Journal of Dentistry, has delivered outstanding scientific output and impact. These achievements have firmly established the DDS as a world leader in digital dentistry.
I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to the DDS Board and Management for their continued commitment and support. Together, you have enabled extraordinary global achievements, including expanding industrial partnerships and growing our ambassador network. These efforts have fostered a true DDS family, bringing clinicians, industry partners and researchers together for meaningful interaction and collaboration.

Further growth of an organisation that has already achieved so much will be a huge challenge. Nevertheless, with our bright, enthusiastic and highly motivated new team, we will do our very best to build upon this strong foundation. In this growth, you are all considered precious partners. Our mission remains clear: to unite digital dentists worldwide, strengthen collaboration with industry and academia, and ensure every member feels at home within the DDS family and enjoys all digital and physical DDS activities.
We are delighted to announce our intention to host two memorable DDS events. The DDS State of the Art Conference denoted “Digital Dentistry Unlocked”will take place in the vibrant city of Antwerp, 15–17 October 2026.
The DDS Global Congress is planned the subsequent year in the magnificent city of Bruges, 14–16 October 2027. These meetings will celebrate innovation, science, collaboration, and the unique spirit of the DDS community.
Welcome to our DDS family. I very much look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming DDS activities in Antwerp and Bruges, and to shaping the future of digital dentistry together.
