Advancing global dentistry: SHINING 3D dental milestones in 2025 and vision for 2026

2025 was a pivotal year for SHINING 3D Dental, characterized by significant innovation, stronger global partnerships, and ongoing expansion of the company’s integrated digital ecosystem. As SHINING 3D Dental celebrated its 20th anniversary, the year reflected the company’s advancements in transforming clinical workflows and making digital dentistry globally accessible.

Beyond product launches and technological progress, 2025 emphasized SHINING 3D Dental’s dedication to addressing real clinical needs: improving ergonomics, increasing automation, and delivering dependable production performance. These achievements not only showed the maturity of the current ecosystem but also laid a strong foundation for the next phase of growth.

As we move into 2026, SHINING 3D Dental is prepared to roll out a new wave of solutions aimed at further elevating digital workflows, enhancing user experience, and expanding global influence.

IDS 2025 IN COLOGNE, GERMANY

At IDS 2025—just months after the company’s 20th anniversary celebration—SHINING 3D Dental introduced several important additions to its ecosystem.

The AccuFab-F1 dental 3D printer brought stable, high-performance production supported by dual heating modules, improving resin flow and providing consistent reliability even with high-viscosity or high-filler materials. Paired with the FabCure N2, a nitrogen post-curing unit that enhances strength, durability, and color stability, this combination reinforced SHINING 3D Dental’s commitment to delivering dependable and high-quality production results.

The event also featured the Aoralscan Elite Wireless, a lightweight scanner with embedded Intraoral Photogrammetry (IPG), and the e-Motion Workstation, further demonstrating SHINING 3D Dental’s dedication to a unified, intelligent, and efficient digital end-to-end workflow.

IPG FIRST ANNIVERSARY

IPG FIRST ANNIVERSARY

2025 marked the first anniversary of IPG, a technology that gained significant global recognition and validation throughout the year. Compatible with over 60 implant brands and supported by international clinical studies, IPG continued to establish itself as a trusted standard for precise, predictable, complete-arch implant workflows.

EVIDENCE-BASED VALIDATION OF INTRAORAL PHOTOGRAMMETRY

EVIDENCE-BASED VALIDATION OF INTRAORAL PHOTOGRAMMETRY

Since its market release in September 2024, IPG has been extensively tested and investigated by numerous universities, independent researchers, and Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) ambassadors worldwide. Groundbreaking experimental results and early clinical findings led to the validation of this technology by the DDS, culminating in the awarding of official DDS Certification. This recognition reflects the growing scientific and clinical confidence in IPG as a reliable digital impression modality for complex implant and restorative workflows.

The initial scientific contributions and clinical case studies, presented by Dr. Tawil DDS and Dr. Ganz DMD, were followed by in-vitro comparative investigations conducted by Professor Francesco Mangano and Professor Miodrag Šćepanović. These studies clearly demonstrated the superior performance of IPG when compared with traditional preliminary impression, particularly in full-arch implant scenarios. By 2025, IPG was increasingly cited in the scientific literature as a benchmark technology, frequently used as a reference standard against which traditional impression and scanning methods were evaluated.

Further validation has been provided by publications and clinical investigations led by Marta Revilla León, DDS, MSD, PhD, and her research team, in collaboration with Professor Miguel Gómez-Polo, Professor Francesco Pera, and other internationally recognized authors. In parallel, a growing number of clinical case reports have been published by both experienced clinicians and key opinion leaders in digital dentistry, including Dr. Henriette Lerner.

One year after its market introduction, current research efforts are focused on validating long-term clinical outcomes, particularly implant passivity and one-year patient follow-up data in full-arch rehabilitations. For SHINING 3D Dental, innovation in IPG continues unabated, with ongoing studies, publications, and clinical cases scheduled for presentation at international congresses.

SHININGEDGE 2025 GLOBAL TOUR

SHININGEDGE 2025 GLOBAL TOUR

Another defining achievement of 2025 was the expansion of the SHININGEdge global educational series.

Beginning in Dubai and moving through Bangkok, Riyadh, Verona, Ulaanbaatar, Tokyo, and Kuala Lumpur, before concluding in Moscow, the tour brought over 2000 clinicians and educators together for hands-on demonstrations, workflow insights, and open discussions. These events strengthened SHINING 3D Dental’s role in advancing digital dentistry education and supporting practitioners at every stage of their digital journey.

Building on the success of the 2025 tour, SHINING 3D Dental is preparing for one of its most anticipated educational events yet.

On March 20–21, 2026, the SHININGEdge series will arrive in Las Vegas at the M Resort Spa & Casino. Over two immersive days, clinicians from North America and beyond will explore the newest innovations, including the major 2026 advances in dental 3D printing, through specialized workshops, lectures, and collaborative discussions. The event will continue the mission of empowering clinicians with the knowledge and tools needed to optimize digital workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
