Don’t Let the Size Fool You

The Future of Chairside Dentistry Is Getting Smaller, Faster, and Simpler

The Future of Chairside Dentistry Is Getting Smaller, Faster, and Simpler

For years, digital dentistry has promised greater efficiency, faster treatment delivery, and more predictable outcomes. Yet for many clinics, bringing advanced production fully in-house has often meant balancing clinical ambitions against space limitations, workflow complexity, and the learning curve associated with new technology.

That balance is beginning to change.

SHINING 3D Dental has introduced two new manufacturing solutions – Ceramix-Nano and AccuFab-Aris, designed to make digital production more accessible, practical, and efficient for everyday use. While each follows a different approach, both share a common goal: helping the adoption of In-House printing faster, and with less complexity.

Ceramix-Nano: Compact Printing Solution

Ceramix-Nano: Compact Printing Solution

Ceramix-Nano introduces a completely new category of chairside manufacturing. This ultra-compact capsule-based 3D chairside printer combines printing and curing in a single device, enabling clinics to produce ceramic-filled resin restoration.

Powered by patented APS (Adaptive Pneumatic Stereolithography) technology, Ceramix-Nano can enable true one-visit treatment workflow in as little as 30 minutes. Crown design can be completed in under two minutes through AI-powered cloud design, followed by an 8-11 minute print cycle and just 3 minutes of curing.

Perhaps most remarkably, the entire system is smaller than a capsule coffee machine, weight around 2KG,  makes the concept of portability a reality.

AccuFab-Aris: Making Dental 3D Printing Effortless

AccuFab-Aris: Making Dental 3D Printing Effortless

AccuFab-Aris is designed as a versatile 3D printer capable of supporting a broad range of applications.

It enables practices to bring Simplified Maintenance with Stable High-precision printing while keeping User-friendly operation.

Built around the philosophy of ‘Just Print It’ the system removes many of the traditional barriers associated with dental 3D printing. Automated calibration, one-click auto-leveling, intelligent monitoring, NFC resin tracking, and simplified maintenance significantly reduce setup time and operator intervention.

Despite weighing less than 10 kilograms and occupying a footprint smaller than a laptop, AccuFab-Aris delivers professional-grade performance with 4K resolution, 34 μm pixel size, and reliable printing precision for everyday production.

The result is a system that makes digital manufacturing approachable not only for experienced users, but also for clinics entering digital dentistry.

One Connected Workflow

One Connected Workflow

Both Ceramix-Nano and AccuFab-Aris are fully integrated into SHINING FLOW, SHINING 3D Dental’s digital ecosystem that connects intraoral scanning, cloud-based design services, AI-powered workflows, and manufacturing into a single seamless experience.

By reducing software switching, manual file transfers, and disconnected processes, clinicians can focus less on managing technology and more on delivering patient care.

As dentistry continues to move toward faster, more connected, and more efficient treatment workflows, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: With Ceramix-Nano and AccuFab-Aris, manufacturing is becoming faster, simpler, and more accessible than ever before.

LumiCera has not yet completed the conformity assessment procedure under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices (MDR) and is not yet CE certified. It is displayed for demonstration purposes only and will be made available only in EU once it has been brought into registration with the MDR.

NOTES

(1) Based on the survey in August 2023 in CAN of 10 Invisalign trained orthodontists who participated in the Invisalign® Palatal Expander System Technical Design Assessment and have treated at least 1 patient age 6-11 years with IPE, who responded to the question: “Please indicate your agreement with the following statement: Patients treated with the Invisalign® Palatal Expander System experience better oral hygiene than those patients treated with traditional palatal expanders (such as Schwartz, Hyrax, etc.)”. Agreement scale is 1-4 with 1 being “strongly disagree” and 4 being “strongly agree”. Data on file at Align Technology, as of October 30, 2023.
