JMA-Optic 3.0 - The new dimension of digital temporomandibular joint registration with digital occlusion analysis.

The zebris Jaw Motion Analyser (JMA) optical system precisely records all real mandibular movements of the patient digitally. This technology enables dentists to accurately determine dysfunctions, movement limitations and neuromuscular jaw relationships during functional analyses. 

The movement data recorded with the JMA-Optic System can be transferred as real movement data or used to programme virtual articulators in CAD/CAM systems such as exocad. The JMA-Optic System is therefore an indispensable part of the digital workflow and forms the basis for the fabrication of functional, precise and forensically sound dentures.

New: zebris JMA-Optic software version 3

JMA-Optic software version 3.0 is a further step towards convenient jaw registration in digital dentistry. The new “Function and Digital Occlusion” module gives dentists the option of dynamic digital occlusion analysis and the creation of restorations and occlusal splints taking physiological movement patterns into account. This makes it easy to determine a manual therapeutic jaw relationship. With the new digital alignment tray, it is now possible to quickly match the data from intraoral scanners and simultaneously determine the position of the upper jaw. The C-positioning bow now allows the camper reference plane and facial features such as the bipupillary and mouth position to be entered. Transfer to mechanical articulators is possible with all common brands. The improved export function enables the rapid transfer of measurement data to external CAD systems (e.g. exocad). This provides dental technicians with the basis for designing accurately fitting splints or forensically verified dentures.

The video shows the measurement possibilities and features of the zebris Jaw Motion Analyzer System – JMA-Optic. The measurement sequence includes the input of the bipupillary and mouth position, the manual and physiological determination of jaw relations, options for dynamic occlusion analysis through to smile design and export to external CAD systems.
